Why This App Exists
This app grew out of firsthand experience spending countless hours memorizing lines as an actor.
The product was inspired by firsthand acting experience: opening scripts in walk-in coolers during convenience store shifts, practicing on trains, and spending countless hours memorizing lines.
It was shaped around a simple goal: reduce the burden of memorization so performers can move sooner to rehearsal without a script in hand.
Get your lines memorized quickly, put down the script, and get to the real work of rehearsal.
That's the philosophy behind this app. It's not a replacement for live rehearsal — it's a tool to help you get more out of it.
The service does not use the collection or sale of user data as a source of revenue.

"Will AI use my data for training?"
Many people worry about AI using their data for training when they hear the word "AI." I completely understand that concern.
The key question here isn't really about "security" — it's about whether the data you send is used to train AI models.
This app uses Google's cloud voice services for voice generation, and AI services from Google and Anthropic for script parsing.
All of these use commercial APIs, which means your data is never used for AI training. This is clearly stated in each company's API terms of service.
AI service providers may retain submitted data for safety monitoring, abuse prevention, or logging enabled by the operator. Standard retention differs by service and configuration: Anthropic API data is generally retained for no more than 30 days, while Gemini API logging, when enabled, can be configured for up to 55 days. Except for cases such as legal compliance or abuse investigations, data is marked for deletion after the applicable retention period. These logs are not used for AI model training.
"Where is my script data stored?"
If you use only the mobile app without signing in, your script text, character settings, and practice history are generally stored on your phone.
If you enable the web app or cloud sync, script text, original PDFs, audio, and lightweight practice logs are stored in the cloud so that you can edit and practice in a PC browser. The service operator does not view script content during ordinary operation, whether for temporary processing data or synced cloud data.
Text is temporarily sent to servers for AI processing (voice generation and script parsing), but is deleted after processing is complete.
"What happens when I share a script?"
When you share a script using a share code, it is uploaded to a server via encrypted communication. This data is available for 7 days after sharing and deleted by a scheduled process after it expires (generally within 24 hours after expiration).
Sharing only happens when you explicitly choose to do so. Your data is never sent without your action.
"What about copyright?"
We sometimes receive questions about script copyright.
Importing a script to memorize your lines may qualify as reproduction for private use under copyright law, depending on how it is used. Contractual terms and the circumstances of use may lead to a different result.
However, sharing a script with others via the share feature may go beyond private use. What the rights holder permits varies by work and contract.
This app is simply a tool for practicing scripts and does not manage or make judgments about copyright. Please use the app responsibly, including the share feature, in accordance with any agreements you have with your agency, production company, or rights holders.
