What is Serifu AI?

Serifu AI is a mobile app for line reading practice with generated partner audio. It's designed for actors, voice actors, and anyone who needs to rehearse lines.

Is it free to use?

Yes. The Free plan includes audio generation for your first script and access to all three practice modes (READ, REHEARSE, TEST).

What script formats are supported?

Currently, Serifu AI supports PDFs and direct text input. Image-based script import is not supported.

The imported script does not match the original script

Import results can differ from the original when a PDF has complex layouts, faint text, vertical writing, ruby text, handwritten notes, or similar formatting. You can edit the imported script in the app, so please compare it with the original and fix any issues before generating audio or starting practice.

How many voice options are there?

There are 6 voice options including male and female voices. They are mechanical AI text-to-speech voices, not natural actor performances, so they are best used as a practice aid for timing and memorization.

Can I use it offline?

Voice generation and script import require an internet connection, but generated audio is cached on your device so you can practice offline.

What is a share code?

A share code lets you share a script along with its audio in one go. Just send the code to your partner and they can start practicing the same script. Record over generated lines with your own voice before sharing for realistic scene work. Available on Share and Pro plans.

What languages are supported?

The app is optimized for Japanese scripts, but you can also import and practice with scripts in English and other languages.
